So, I have been largely absent from DA over the past 2 years. Why? Well, the last time I spent much effort here was right around the time my Mom's dog Dakota died. I was wrought with grief for a long time.
Hubby and I were struggling with finances; moving to California was not the easiest move on the pocketbook, especially since I had to give up my manager position to move here. Less hours, less pay, blah.
Fast forward 2 years:
I now work at a different company ( still a crafts store ) and am a Manager again.
Finances are still rough due to the fact that (bad news, sorry, its unavoidable) I lost my Mom to cancer in October.

Dakota Needs Green

I am writing this because I just created a fund raiser for the light of my world, Dakota.
Dakota is a nearly 7yr old dappled black & silver dachshund.
She got attacked by a wild animal a few days ago and was hanging onto life by a thread.

Retail Horror Stories

As some of you may know, I'm a manager at a large arts & crafts store.
If you've ever worked in retail, you know the 'crazy' customers that you have to deal with.
I just want to kind of get my blog out in the open and seen. I feel as though I get enough visitors here that may like reading about some of the crazy things I encounter on a daily basis.
I call it " Retail Horror Stories " because, most of my job IS a horror story. Don't get me wrong ---- I love my job. But, some people can make it VERY difficult.

Just one thing. I started a fundraiser for my mom's dog Dakota. She was attacked very badly by a wild animal and is needing lots of surgeries and stitches etc. If you could share her fundraiser link and facebook fan page links with some people, that would be more than enough in return. Also, on the first link, you can also send her a hug with a message, if you cant afford a donation. I'm Diana, Dakota's *auntie* and I rescued her when she was 5 months old and gave her to my mother (Juliette). Shes almost 7 yrs old now and this was an extremely traumatic experience for her.
